Once hydrolyzed in the body, lutein esters are converted into lutein and zeaxanthin, which selectively accumulate in the macular region of the retina to form macular pigment. These compounds help filter high-energy blue light, reducing direct damage to retinal photoreceptor cells caused by prolonged light exposure. They also help preserve the integrity of photoreceptors and retinal pigment epithelial cells, supporting normal visual signal transmission while improving visual acuity and contrast sensitivity.

Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which typically accounts for 50–60% of flaxseed oil, can be converted in the body into DHA, an essential fatty acid involved in retinal health. DHA helps maintain the fluidity and structural integrity of retinal photoreceptor cell membranes, thereby supporting the speed and accuracy of visual signal transmission.
Anthocyanins in blueberries provide potent antioxidant protection against light-induced damage and cellular ageing
Anthocyanins are capable of penetrating retinal tissue, where they help neutralize singlet oxygen, eliminate free radicals, and inhibit lipid peroxidation. Directions
Take one softgel daily, either swallowed with warm water or chewed directly. Children should consume the product under adult supervision. One softgel per day is sufficient to meet routine nutritional needs for eye health support.
Safety Guidance
The recommended daily intake of lutein esters should not exceed 12mg. Each softgel in this product contains 11mg of lutein esters; therefore, a daily intake of one softgel falls within established safety guidelines. Excessive consumption is not recommended.
